The Awakening

As he ran his quills became red flattening down hardening forming a shell along his back and the rest of his quills turning into a black fur his ears elongated somewhat turning the same color as his skin. He leapt into the air and at the peak of his jump he propelled himself at an angle with his foot outstretched flying down at tremendous speeds for a deadly kick

He ran quickly over to her and smacked her in her face with enough force to smash concrete "Do you mind?! I'm trying to fight her here!" He gave another swift kick then ran back over to his opponent

He blinked once and she was gone like some sort sorceress "What the fuck?" he stuck his nose to the ground sniffing before his keen sense of smell tracked them. He quickly morphed into the hedgehog form and ran in the direction of their trail finding his way to a ship just leaving harbor. With a grunt he thought to himself 'so this is her way out eh? better use a form I never used before' he morphed into a purple chameleon walking up the side of the vessel shifting through multiple colors as he did so before heaving himself onto the boat and camoflauging himself to search for the girl

He heard a soothing melody that enticed him a voice sweeter than any sort of honey he had ever tasted he walked towards it notnoticing the singer was the girl until he saw her in the tub the surprise causing him to break the camoflage and to turn a bright red

His color shifted from red back to purple as he remembered what he had come there for "I'm sorry ma'am I'm merely a servant aboard this ship who's mistress has passed...I did not know this room was occupied" he turned away looking crestfallen

He caught the gold nuggets and whale oil before giving her a puzzled look. "ma'am I came here only to ask for work you see I hail from a foreign country that trained me to be the best assassin there was and thats exactly what I became. My mistress was one who hired me to protect her however she died of natural causes leaving me stranded aboard this ship I would be more than willing to serve you at no cost provided you have a dwelling waiting for you once we reach our destination." his color shifted as he spoke the light from a port hole causing him to look as if he was glowing.

He turned away "Ma'am if you need any proof of my abilities I will gladly show you" as he said this he threw a shuriken that flew thruogh the porthole and struck a passing seagull" expect a demonstration soon

The boat was soon to hit land and he could sense it. Preparing his weapons he stood on the deck invisible to all as the ship hit the harbor he smirked then leapt into the air and threw a storm of shurikens and kunai upon the passengers slaughtering them then just so he could have the satisfaction threw a rather large shuriken through the boat puncturing the side letting water rush into it. "may this serve as a demonstration of my abilities whenever I provide no effort to using them"

"Damn it" he transformed back into the armadillo and sniffed finding her scent once again then sped off as the hedgehog only to find her running across a lake. hoping she couldnt see he transformed his snout elongating and his teeth sharpening as he took on the form of a crocodile. he slipped under the water shooting towards her before chomping down on her leg

Blood dripping from his maw he heaved himself on-shore as he felt his base instincts take over. unwillingly he lifted himself up transforming into the hedgehog and rocketing towards the scent of the woman which took him to a manor. as his wounds patched themseleves up he regained control of himself deciding he would use the chameleon only being careful to hide his scent at which point he knocked on the door shifting colors as he waited for someone to answer
